Lithofin MN Concrete Coating is a special product from the Lithofin program for the treatment of concrete stone. This concrete coating is a solvent-free, water-dilutable dispersion based on weather-resistant acrylics and hard wax. The product is ready to use and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
What does the Lithofin MN Concrete Coating do?
Lithofin MN Concrete Coating forms a weather-resistant surface film with a slight color deepening. This film facilitates cleaning and maintenance and reduces the sensitivity of the concrete to stains. The Lithofin MN Concrete Coating prevents heavy contamination of the tiles during installation, as well as the penetration of sand, cement and earth. By filling the open pores in the beston stone, the adhesion of vegetable deposits is made more difficult, which greatly reduces the greening of the tiles. Despite reduced vapor permeability, rising moisture can evaporate due to the surface treatment.
With an increased dosage of the concrete coating, it can provide a glossy film layer on the concrete.
What is this concrete coating suitable for?< linebreak>This coating for concrete can be used for treatment during the production process or afterwards, of rough concrete tiles as protection during installation. This product is suitable for improving the appearance of rough concrete tiles. Due to the favorable properties of this coating, the product can be used on both indoor and outdoor surfaces.
The coating can only be used to a limited extent on finely ground (smooth) concrete surfaces. When using this product on finely ground surfaces, the smoothness can be increased.
How do you apply this coating for concrete?
If no experience has yet been gained with the product and in case of doubt, the product should be used Always try it out on an inconspicuous spot first. The processing temperature should not be below 15 degrees and not above 25 degrees. If the coating is applied indoors, any underfloor heating must be switched off.
The concrete tile surface must be clean and stain-free before the coating can be applied. To properly clean the surface, we recommend using the Lithofin MN Dirt Remover. A well-dried surface is recommended before applying this coating.
The Lithofin MN Concrete Coating can be evenly distributed over the surface with a sponge, sheepskin or similar tool. If necessary, repeat the treatment on highly absorbent surfaces.
The surface cannot be walked on during drying. The surface can be walked on again after approximately 3 hours. The formed surface film may only be exposed to moisture and contamination after 24 to 48 hours.
What is the consumption?
The consumption depends on the surface porosity. In general, approximately 15m2 per liter can be assumed.
